The Ministry of Culture has implemented, starting June 1, 2024, three new circuits and 10 routes to visit the Inca City of Machu Picchu. This measure aims to ensure conservation and management, allowing a controlled flow of visitors in the authorized areas, reducing the risk of damage, and guaranteeing a quality experience and visitor satisfaction.

Panoramic Circuit

It is characterized by offering options for wide or panoramic views of the Inca City of Machu Picchu and its sacred mountains, serving as a space of connection with the Andean deities. It has four (4) routes, which take you to the highest point of Machu Picchu, leading you through narrow paths while enjoying extraordinary scenic landscapes. Here, you can experience the most impressive views of the Inca City and its surroundings, going beyond the typical photo. Each route requires a different level of physical effort, balanced by the captivating beauty of its architecture, the spatial organization of its buildings built on the mountain, and the harmony they maintain with nature.

It is characterized by combining the visit to the terraces in the middle section and the entire urban area of the Inca City of Machu Picchu. You will explore buildings used as residences and ritual spaces for stargazing. It has two routes that require moderate physical effort.

If you choose to walk up the Huayna Picchu or Huchuypicchu mountains, or head towards the Great Cave, more physical effort and additional time are required.
